The genre I will be focusing on is Romantic comedy...

Firstly I like the story line as it is realistic and can be associated with men in the contemporary society. The story line is not too complex and if one was watching half way through the Movie they would still understand the story line. In addition i like the use of the two shot in this clip, including the close-up shot as i can clearly see the emotions of the characters. The use of script is very important in meeting its targeted genre for example, "You and Paul have something so rear, so powerful, don't chicken out now".  In particular the part where there is a sound bridge showing Jenny's emotions triggered by Connor's heart felt speech; a close up shot is used showing her watery eye and confused feelings.  I would give this Movie a rating of 9/10 as the camera work was effective as well as the dialogue. Not  full ratings as I felt the Movie was elongated.

The Back-up Plan Clip - "Watch out for that tree"

This clip in particular show the comic side of the film and the romance. Zoe is on her way to Stan's country house. she sees Stan and continually watches him and crashes in to the tree. I like the use of the long shot showing denotation of the outside of the car and the setting being a farm with trees. Secondly the use of back ground distraction also add to the film genre, it show two horses chasing each other showing unity and togetherness a swell as partnership. I also like the the way the editor cuts scenes, one minute the focus will be on Stan then it will cut to show  Zoe's expression to seeing Stan with his top off. Lastly the soundtrack relates to what is happening in the scene with a up beat tempo, illustrating a build up of nerves from Zoe to see Stan. The lyrics i.e."I think I am falling for you, my heart is racing" adds to the romantic feel of the Movie as it indirectly expresses the feeling of Zoe. I would rate this Movie 10/10 as it is balanced. there is comedy as well as serious issues.
